Breaking Form
Ok, we've been breaking form on the GOTH Friday. Technically a haiku is 17 syllables long with a 5-7-5 structure. We've been running a 7-5-7 structure or 19 syllables giving us a little more playroom. Do we need to go traditional Japanese structure, or my mutated version which gives us a bonus 2 syllables? I'll leave it up to a vote. I'll abstain unless there is a tie.

I've been enjoying the "reverse haiku" style, but I think all variations should be welcome.
Rules have their purpose
Rules are made to be broken

What do you mean "we"??
I did it right the first time!
I SMRT

It was really my second
haiku that was right
you are such a little anarchist dewdew, and we luv you for it. One vote for the 7-5-7 from Beo bring it to a 1:0 vote in favor of current form. Paula, don't make me drag out last weeks haiku on yer tooshie. Ya know, where ya did a 7-5-7. *snicker*
We need a consistent playing field. Structure will have to be uniform for the judges to do their work properly. Don't blame me, blame their tight, no-grend31-entry, puckered up asses.
Again, the vote is 1:0 in favor of the 7/5/7 structure.
Even though I think that the traditional 5-7-5 has a more natural rhythm to it, my official vote is for 7-5-7.
More than one die is called dice
Two mouses is mice
More than one moose is still moose
it's not a haiku
if it's not in 5-7-5
call it a grendku
ooo! Grendku it is!! 7-5-7 format. Paula *SO* earned the bonus points on that one.
Oooooo.. and Beo takes a real nasty dive on points with that one... *Ouch*
To compete against females
