Things Frivolous
Wow, little did I know what I was getting myself into with my commitment to have only frivolous posts for the rest of the week.
Some definitions from dictionary.com for frivolous:
trivial, goalless, delicate, chance, immature, fruitless, flighty, scatterbrained, kidding, promiscuous, vacillating, irresponsible, unconvincing, irreverant, happy, silly, stupid, ineffective, funny, impulsive, unthinking, unintelligent, absurd, nervous, false, insignificant, unimportant, futile, explosive, careless
Alright. I have a lot of serious crap to make up for (early-week postings and the like) so I've decided to write something using all of these words. To try to maximize the frivolity. Not only that, I'm going to use them in the order above, the order I came across them in dictionary.com, just to make it that much more frivolous.
Ok. So here I go.

Maintaining a blog without becoming too damned serious is not a trivial matter. Now I'm not saying that one should write a goalless blog devoid of any meaning or depth. But a delicate balance between matters important and matters absurd must be kept. If left to chance the immature, fruitless, flighty and scatterbrained content may get left by the wayside. And who are we kidding, without these promiscuous posts, blogs are downright boring. If we are vacillating on what we should write because it may be irresponsible, unconvincing and irreverant we may miss the fact there is value in the happy, silly and stupid. One may think it's ineffective to write a funny, impulsive post in an unthinking, unintelligent style, but that's just absurd. Don't be nervous. Give it a try. There's nothing false about simply letting it all go and letting the words spill out. Some may deem your creation insignificant or unimportant. Their critique is actually what is futile. What matters is that you are explosive and careless of their regard.
