Derangement

As in "to disturb the order or arrangement of" - [www.dictionary.com]. We are a deranging species. Some people have likened our species to viruses, others have likened it to cancer. We leave behind us gaping holes in our atmosphere, gaping holes in the earth. We spread beyond what our planet's resources can support. People starve and die. It's a fact. The beauty and the balance of nature's order? I think disturbed is too mild of a word.

Ravaged, pillaged and raped seems more fitting. Think you are living the wholesome life? Think you are ecologically friendly? Unless you are going to go live with the bushmen in Australia are you full of it. Think about the sheer amount of trash you generate by your consumption. Think about all the different layers of resource depletion and manufacturing and processing it takes to support the lifestyle you enjoy. The clothes you wear, the fuel you consume, the food you eat, the media you enjoy all of these things come from finite sources. Then multiply it times millions. You are part of the problem. We are The Problem.

You really have to hand it to Mother Nature though. What a wonderfully cruel twist. Create a species with no known predators, except itself. Walk up to the mirror. Problem meet The Cure. How many ways have we created to kill one another? It's like an art form now. And how many reasons have we created to kill one another? Countless. Religion, politics, envy, greed, malice the list goes on and on. What are these things actually? Nature's way of rebalancing itself, of course. Either we figure out how to live in balance, or we kill ourselves. Maybe not this century or millennia or a hundred millennia, but eventually it'll happen. Thank you Mother Nature, I feel much better now knowing you still have the upper hand. As you should.

You don't fool me for a minute. You're just trying to keep all the Cadbury eggs for yourself.

*ahem* People. Darkness, despair, negativity. Let's try to stick with the theme please. You are messing with my strategy here. Don't upset the beast in it's lair.

So does that mean I can have all the Cadbury eggs? Great!

That's a smashing plan Jesster, but I have one addition to it. You get all of the Cadbury eggs currently in the house and I get all the Reeses peanut butter eggs in the house.
