The Storm
Power went out last night. Still hasn't been restored this morning. I guess we are one of one hundred thousand households without power. The storm last night knocked out power to twice that many they say. Was an interesting drive into work today. Entire neighborhoods, commercial and residential were dead. People were quite courteous on the roads though and waited their turn at intersections where the lights were unpowered. We can build skyscrapers that can withstand earthquakes but we can't create a power system that can withstand strong winds. What a crock.
I miss electricity horribly. I was unable to use my forced air machine (CPAP) to manage my sleep apnea last night. I'm feeling it badly today. If they don't have electricity back tonight it could be quite an interesting Friday as that will be 48 hours without any real sleep. I tried using just my mouth appliance last night to mitigate my apnea, but she didn't cut the mustard.
If we are powerless tonight as well I should just stay away from blogs tomorrow as I'll be approaching that more-insane-than-normal place.

So this means I should come over and eat all the food in the freezer right?
We are checking on that this evening Moo, if the power has been restored. Our deep freeze should be fine. Our freezer in the fridge may have to have everything in it cooked up tonight. :)
And the freezer upstairs has a new pack of 14 quarter-pound burgers.
Hungry?
We don't need power to fire up the grill...
Crap! I think we are out of buns! and cheese!
I think we have a couple of buns somewhere. And we have that plastic cheese in the fridge, that never goes bad.
Moo can taste it for us and tell us if it's okay.
