Rover found him involving himself with Things Unmutual again. Poor man hadn't a chance. We put him back in his cubicle. He was blathering on in a stupor about the usual, "Not a number, a free man" and the like. Although relatively roughed up by Rover, he was able to return to his task. The complacency gas we've been testing on him for the last few days does not seem to be having much an effect, sadly. In fact it seems to be having quite the opposite results. Number 6 has been reportedly more agitated and irritable than ever. I've promised you results and you shall have them.

The Village festival is coming up later this year in late summer. That's when the latest project to break Number 6 will come to fruition. Although we have given him no hint as to our plans for him, he seems to have an uncanny awareness that something very unpleasant is coming his way. Like far off lorry lights in a lengthy tunnel. Every man has his breaking point. Soon we'll know what it takes to get his Resignation.
