Bored = Boring

Just saw this equation on a post in another blog. Let's have some fun with this exceptionally flawed logic. The idea is that if you are bored you are also a boring person to be around. This idea is silly.

I'm adding a new component to the equation: Bored = Boring = Bullshit

I'm going to skip over some of the easy arguments, like when I find people who are bored out of their minds making all sorts of hilarious statements, usually in an effort to alleviate the boredom. Instead I'm choosing to look at other situations where this adjective to verb equation simply does not add up.

Easy Management Examples:

Fucked = Fucking

Well this one clearly does not hold true. Time and time again I feel management fucking me, therefore I am fucked, but I am far from doing any fucking myself. Hell they don't even bother gracing us with a reach around most of the time.

Heard = Hearing

Again, management loves to be heard, but rarely ever feels the need of really hearing anything from us. Being heard not does imply that you actually have to listen to anyone. Which just tickles upper management fucking pink.

Drained = Draining

Would you prefer to be the vampire or the victim? Fucking duh. And considering they are turning us all into vegetables around here and managing to still get blood from us the old saying "you can't get blood from a turnip" no longer carries any weight.

Licked = Licking

Again, would you prefer to be the licker or the lickee? If yer staring at the bits we're asked to lick around here, there is only one sane answer to this question.


I may have found my new mission for my blog. To extoll all the virtues of everything boring. To declare devotions to all dullard-dom. Naw, that sounds boring.
