This work day shan't end soon enough...

I have a good idea that you are probably thinking that this is going to be a long tirade about how much work sucks and that I can't wait for the magical time of 5:30 to roll around so I can free myself from the mundanely stupid and ritualistically asinine. Nope. That ain't it. Work is quite peaceful and tolerable this day. I should probably mark this anomoly on my calendar. Some weird astral conjunction I'm sure.

The next logical assumption would be that it's part of a greater battle. Well, part of The Great Battle, actually. That long fight that starts at the beginning of the week and is waged through Friday when all is won and the weekend is upon you. Nope. That isn't it either. This week is moving along just fine and the weekend is well within my sights. No worries there.

Then I must be going out on the town tonight to rip it up right? Fine dining, dancing, drinking and debauchery ... right? Nope. No Quadruple D for me. I'm way too straight-laced and reserved for that kind of thing. Plus the cost is too high. My system would go into shock from the overstimulation and alcohol poisoning. Youth has left me for a younger man. Fickle bitch that she was.

So what is it that is driving me to the end of this workday? Guess...

I'm going to have to give the prize to Beo on this one. He's the closest by far. Last night I made steak and twice baked taters for us. Best steak I think I've ever grilled. Red wine.. etc.. you get the idea from Jesster's blog.

Tonight Jesster said she's gonna make chicken'n'capers, one of my all time favorite dishes. And we have a bottle of Evolution to go along with it, one of my favorite white wines. Hopefully some sliced taters seasoned and baked in olive oil...

Then we'll get around to the cuddling and reading upstairs on the loveseat and ottoman.

So I'm actually excited about extending last night's activities out to tonight. 'Cept with a new menu, venue and activity. But the concept is the same.

Oh, and to answer your question Paula, Jesster called the city yesterday. The house is in the process of foreclosure. My guess is that the pink sign is a notice thereof. No need to even risk it at this point.

Plus if the owners don't mow by Monday, the city will. And charge the owners for it. So hopefully in a week or so we won't have a spotty grass field to the north.

I looked up the rules on the city Web site before I called, and that's where I found the typo....

And I need to get out of here ON TIME today since my sweetie needs me. :) I've been in at 7:00 for the last few days but I'm still staying until after 6. Ugh.

Grend I am so jealous. I land too late tonight to eat my honey's grand cooking. However, there will be much 'cuddling' on the sofa..on the floor...in the kitchen. Well you get the idea

*has decency to blush*

I love our 'ku by the way. Thanks!!
